Finalist for Nursing Times Workforce Summit & Awards, Best Use of Workplace Technology

We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Nursing Times Workforce Summit & Awards. NHS England working with SCW has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Workplace Technology category. This award recognises an organisation that demonstrates the meaningful use of technology to improve the working environment – to give nurses and midwives more time to care.

Spotlight on ‘Scaling People Services - learning from SCW’

As part of SCW Spotlights, a programme of short and snappy webinar events, our people solutions team shared how we successfully scaled people solutions to support system partners across the NHS. We talked about considering the extent of ambition in initial target operating model design, supporting the varying needs of partners whilst ensuring economies of scale are optimised, when diversification can be helpful and the management of relationships and costs.

Child Health Information Services bringing benefits to children across East Midlands

NHS South, Central & West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW)  will take responsibility for the East Midlands Child Health Information Service (CHIS) from December 2023 after winning the tender for a six-year contract. NHS England Midlands (East) has commissioned SCW to create a single CHIS service that combines six existing CHIS providers across Derbyshire (including Glossop), Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, and Northamptonshire so that all child health data is managed safely and securely in one place.

We’re looking forward to showcasing the important work being done by our analysts at the Health and Care Analytics Conference 2023, University of Birmingham, on 11-12 July 2023. The sessions will explore how we’re using health and care analytics to drive impactful change.

SCW winner of the ISE award for ‘Commitment to improving Diversity through Student Resourcing’

SCW and assessment partner Neurosight were proud to win this prestigious award with ISE (Institute for Student Employers) for the progress that SCW has made to improving diversity through our annual graduate scheme. Our graduate scheme is highly regarded internally and externally and provides a fast-track route into management and leadership roles.

Access to trend analysis data to support the preparation phase of the Capacity and Access Improvement Programme

In addition to the National Capacity and Access Support Payment being paid unconditionally to all PCNs, an improvement payment will be available to PCNs able to demonstrate improvement or sustained high level of achievement across three key areas.
