With over 20 years of experience as a digital leader in the public and private sectors, Sam works with organisations, stakeholders and teams to put people at the heart of service improvement and transformation.
Sam’s user-centred approach helps ensure programmes and projects take an evidence-based approach to plan, manage and deliver digital and non-digital services that are easy for patients, staff and clinicians to use. He’s passionate about helping organisations and teams understand and meet user needs, especially for people who are vulnerable, excluded or less able.
Previously head of user-centred design at both HM Courts and Tribunals Service and HM Land Registry, Sam’s wider civil service experience includes large-scale agile transformation programmes operating complex, multi-supplier environments. An experienced service assessor, Sam has assessed a wide range of government and NHS services against service standards.
