Amanda Pritchard’s keynote speech at NHS ConfedExpo last month resonated with me on many levels. As an Organisational Development Practitioner, I was delighted to hear her view that the NHS is “the largest learning organisation in the world” and that our opportunity is in “the power of the relationships formed and strengthened by common purpose”.
At ConfedExpo my colleague, David and I spoke about Dialogic OD and the role that it plays in transforming complex change.
This month our ICB colleagues across health and care systems will be looking to further develop and cement their collaborative relationships. Creating a culture of psychological safety so that we can have brave conversations should be a priority for us all because change comes from changing conversations.
Amanda spoke of the 4 R’s: Recovery, Reform, Resilience and Respect. As new teams work together, under pressure never seen before, we would like to add to Amanda’s 4 R’s and encourage our colleagues across health and social care to also Reflect and nurture their Relationships. Through this, we can truly create transformational change.
