Get to know a little more about Nia Morris' experience, working as an IT Service Level Performance Analyst at South, Central and West (SCW) for the past three months.
As an IT Service Level Performance Analyst at SCW, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people and technologies over the past three months. From the day I started, I have immediately immersed in the world of IT service level management and how vital IT services and data management are for effective healthcare.
The job itself can be quite complex and requires a fair amount of technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. I have had to learn how to analyse data, identify trends, and develop strategies to improve customer experience and reporting quality, as well as analyse and manage problems. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is the ability to see and experience the impact of my work. I have improved work on reporting quality and customer experience, including implementing automation strategies - which remove repetitive tasks from colleagues with high workloads- and improving the consistency and reliability of the products and services we provide.
I have also had the opportunity to work with a variety of tools and technologies, such as SQL Server, PowerBI, and TOPdesk. These tools have allowed me to analyse data and develop reports that can be used to identify areas of improvement quickly and accurately. Drawing in data from the wide range of sources used by the organisations we work with is a very rewarding challenge when it all comes together to form a compelling report that communicates in meaningful ways that align with SCW's branding and ethos.
Since I started my work with SCW, I've been overwhelmed by the warm welcome that I have received. It's not often that you find such a supportive and encouraging environment, and I'm so grateful to be part of it.
The culture of SCW is one of inclusivity and collaboration. Everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand, and I've made some great connections as a result of this. It's also been a great opportunity to network with other professionals in the industry, which is invaluable.
In addition to the culture and networking opportunities, SCW has also provided me with an incredible level of support. From the moment I started, I've been given the resources and guidance that I need to succeed. They take their time to ensure that I have the knowledge and skillset necessary to do my job well, and I'm always encouraged to ask questions and take advantage of the resources that are available.
Overall, my experience as an IT Service Level Performance Analyst at SCW has been incredibly rewarding. I have had the opportunity to work with a great team of people and learn a variety of new skills. I am looking forward to continuing to grow and develop my skills in this role.
I am looking forward to starting my Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship next month with Cambridge Spark and think that my work so far has been an excellent way to have an introduction to the kind of learning and projects I will be doing when I begin. I am excited to continue to develop my skills and knowledge, especially in the more technical aspects of the team's work.
