Holly is a registered learning disability nurse (RNLD) currently working in clinical quality network services in SCW. Holly has a masters in ‘working with individuals with autism’ and within her portfolio is working as the clinical quality lead for incidents and safeguarding as well as Learning Disability & Autism specialist services run by SCW. These include learning from the lives and deaths of people with a learning disability and autistic people (LeDeR) and consultancy work. 

Holly began her career as a community nurse for children and young people with learning disabilities and autism. Later she worked in secure hospitals, first with a children’s mental health service and then focused her career in adult services as an out of area discharge care coordinator, followed by a complex case manager and commissioner role. Holly is passionate and driven to reduce health inequalities and be a part of research. She has published work within the Nursing Times and has worked on national programmes and studied within and away from work as part of her career.
